Event and Project Submission

Arlington250 is a multi-year commemoration, recognition, and celebration of our history from Colonial beginnings to the present and our challenges and hopes for the future. It is about the history we know, the stories yet untold, and the stories to come of the battles for the rights and freedoms of everyone.

Please join us in telling the stories. Host an event. Plan a project.

What types of events and projects are we looking for?

  • Creative and thoughtful programs that offer diverse and underrepresented perspectives
  • Events that tell stories from history or make us think about the future
  • Inclusive community celebrations that bring people together

Examples could include:

  • History & Education: lectures, trivia contests, panel conversations, book discussions, programs with the schools
  • Arts & Culture: public art, exhibits, poetry, performances

The Arlington250 committee wants to add events that fit the theme of “untold stories” to the Arlington 250 calendar and publicize them. Already have an event planned? Are you building the theme into your group’s programming for 2024 or 2025? Do you have a story you want to tell, but need help bringing your idea to fruition? Visit our Event/Project Submission Form to share your ideas and questions! A volunteer from the committee will reach out to you regarding your plans.
