What types of events and projects are we looking for?

• Creative and thoughtful programs that offer diverse and underrepresented perspectives
• Events that tell stories from history or make us think about the future
• Inclusive community celebrations that bring people together

Examples could include:

• History & Education: lectures, trivia contests, panel conversations, book discussions, programs with the schools
• Arts & Culture: public art, exhibits, poetry, performances
• Hospitality: Special dining event, involvement from area hotels

The Arlington250 Committee wants to add events that fit the theme of “untold stories” to the official Arlington250 calendar and will publicize these events widely. Already have an event planned? Are you building the theme into your group’s programming for 2025 or 2026? Do you have a story you want to tell, but need help bringing your idea to fruition?
